Lisa grew up in southern California and attended California College of Arts & Crafts, majoring in sculpture and creative writing.

After moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 2000, she decided to turn her talent to creating books for children. Ignoring the rules and warnings about how hard it was to get published, she dove into her first project, then titled "Frog Chef". The unpublished book won the Don Freeman Grant (runner-up), a Writer's Digest Fiction Award (9th place), and was picked up by an agent and publisher all in its first year. The book, now titled "Excuse Me!", is available in several countries including Korea and the UK, helping kids all over the world with their burping etiquette!

Lisa has published several books now including her two newest "The Younger Brother's Survival Guide: by Matt" (March 2006-also available in Hebrew) and Oscar de la Hoya's "Super Oscar" (April 2006-bilingual).

Lisa continues to reside in Las Vegas with her husband Chris, her daughter Claire, their two nutty cats and their little Irish Rogue, Henry the dog.
